The article provides a component analysis of actively used units of modern vocabulary of the Russian and Uzbek languages. The author identifies common and specific features in their structure and semantics, as well as the interaction of languages at the lexical level (borrowing, calculating). The results deepen understanding of the development of lexical systems and have practical value for lexicography and teaching.
