This article analyzes the traditional neighborhood system, internal urban structure, and surrounding gardens and orchards of Tashkent during the second half of the 19th century and the early 20th century. The study examines the characteristics of neighborhood names, ethnic composition, crafts and trades, and the natural geographic conditions, as well as the impact of seasonal living patterns on the city’s economy and social life.
