The flat embroidery of the Ferghana Valley is only slightly illuminated in the works of Uzbek ethnologists. The article fills that gap to some extent. The material is devoted to the regional features of embroidery of the Ferghana Valley, its content, purpose and modern state. The Fergana Valley analyzes the rich silk and textile heritage of the region in relation to modern economic conditions. The Fergana Valley is known as the center of sericulture in Uzbekistan, where the artistic embroidery industry (silk fabrics, national embroidery such as adras and shoyi) is inextricably linked to cotton production and agriculture. In modern times, global market demands, technological innovations and export opportunities are developing this sector. Automated embroidery looms are being introduced, but manual labor still preserves traditional patterns. Local silk production (shoori) and cotton resources are the main ones, but water shortages and environmental problems limit production. Export-oriented enterprises are increasing, and small enterprises in the cities of Fergana and Kokand are expanding their network. Environmental problems (water resources and waste) and competitiveness make modern production difficult, but the sector can develop through the introduction of new technologies and branding through government programs. This analysis is important from the perspective of preserving Uzbekistan's national heritage and ensuring economic growth.
