This article is devoted to the policy of the Soviet government pursued in Central Asia, particularly in the Uzbek SSR, during the post-war period. It is proven that the Soviet authorities paid attention to the development of agricultural science in the Uzbek SSR; with the establishment of Soviet power, the issue of agricultural development, the study of agricultural crops, and their orientation toward a unified national economy gained special importance. By Soviet decree, the All-Union Agricultural Academy was established, which occupied a key place in Soviet agrarian science. It is also demonstrated that during the period of the Uzbek SSR, research institutions and organizations were created, where scientific research was conducted, subordinated to party ideology and used to strengthen Soviet power and implement economic plans. The article presents an analysis of the personnel policy of the USSR toward the Uzbek SSR, aimed at providing qualified specialists and consolidating Soviet authority. This policy included sending specialists from other regions of the USSR, as well as creating research institutes and organizations that contributed to the development of agricultural science in the Uzbek SSR. The article also analyzes issues related to the activities of scientific research institutions and organizations, emphasizing the strengthening of the role of scientific research, developments, and their implementation. The Soviet authorities systematically interfered in the activities of research institutes and other associations engaged in scientific work, especially in personnel appointments, which negatively affected the functioning of these institutions.
