Annotatsiya

The article examines key aspects of the national-territorial delimitation, which was part of the Bolsheviks’ policy aimed at disintegrating the Turkestan region, as well as the process of establishing the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. It also provides information on the relocation and placement of government institutions in Samarkand, which became the capital of the Uzbek SSR. Furthermore, the article offers a historical analysis of how Soviet-style national republics in Turkestan were transformed into raw-material-supplying regions for the central authorities.
