In this article the strategy of the Bolsheviks in Uzbekistan to clean up the party ranks and train local cadres who will serve the ideology is analyzed. It is described that intellectuals who defended the national ideology were expelled from the party, accusing of nationalism. The author pays special attention to the analysis of the archival documents, the published scientific articles of the studied period, materials of periodicals, speeches of statesmen and also statistical data.
