This research article presents an analysis of the tourism sector development prospects in the Jizzakh region, the regionʻs natural and cultural potential, tourism infrastructure, ecotourism, and cultural heritage tourism. It also examines the socioeconomic impact of tourism, existing challenges, and proposals for addressing them. The article emphasizes the importance of strategic directions and public policy for the effective development of tourism in the Jizzakh region. The results indicate that increasing the regionʻs tourism potential will provide opportunities to improve the local economy and raise the populationʻs standard of living. The article highlights the geographical location of the Jizzakh region, the uniqueness of its natural resources and cultural heritage, and the role of recreational and cultural-historical sites in enhancing the regionʻs tourism potential. The article examines the current state of the tourism sector in the Jizzakh region, in particular, the types of inbound and outbound tourism, the activities of travel agencies and organizations in the region, and the development of hotel and hospitality infrastructure. The article also analyzes the sectorʻs prospects in terms of tourism types: ecotourism, cultural-historical tourism, agro- and archaeological tourism. This article highlights the socioeconomic significance of tourism, including its role as a source of employment and income for local residents, as well as the importance of infrastructure, service quality, and public policy in the development of regional tourism. Recommendations are provided on the need to implement advanced technologies, explore new innovative areas, and effectively utilize local potential for the further development of tourism in the Jizzakh region, including the creation of tourism clusters and the development of eco- and cultural tourism. The purpose of this article is to establish a scientific and practical foundation for the sustainable development of tourism in the Jizzakh region and improve the regionʻs economy and cultural environment.
