This article examines the genesis and development of political and diplomatic relations between the Ottoman Empire and the Shaybanid State. It analyzes the key factors that influenced the development of ties between the two powers. The formation and development of diplomatic contacts between the Ottoman Empire and the Shaybanid State occurred against the backdrop of a deteriorating international situation in the Middle East and Central Asia. It is noted that geopolitical processes and religious factors significantly influenced the nature of political and diplomatic relations between the Ottoman Empire and its ally, the Shaybanid State. The geopolitical changes in the Muslim world that determined the intensity of these contacts are also examined. The emergence of the Safavid Empire is identified as the main catalyst that prompted the development of political and diplomatic relations between the Ottoman Empire and the Shaybanid State.
