The article examines the methodological approaches and research methods employed by Uzbek scholars in the study of the political, cultural, and diplomatic dimensions of relations between the Ottoman Empire and the Central Asian states. In the course of the historiographic review, special attention is given to the factors that have influenced the evolution and quality of relevant studies. The analysis highlights the sources utilized by Uzbek researchers. Most of the scholarly works on this topic date from the post-independence period. Overall, there is a noticeable increase in interest in the history of relations between Turkey and Uzbekistan, reflecting the current state of bilateral ties between the two countries.
