The ancient Turkic coins minted in Chach by the Western Turkic Khaganate during the 6th–8th centuries serve as an important symbol of statehood. The images depicted on these coins reflect the establishment of political authority as well as the presence of religious and ideological freedom. The iconography of the Western Turkic Khaganate coins minted in Chach represents a unique primary source for studying the ideology of early medieval statehood in Central Asia. Through these coins, one can clearly observe the political and religious symbols of the khagan’s ideology, the divine legitimization of power, and strategies aimed at strengthening authority on the international stage.
