This article deals with the rise of social and environmental problems that have become increasingly widespread in the Aral Sea regions, including in Khorezm during the years of independence, to the level of state policy in Uzbekistan. The fair policy pursued by the government of Uzbekistan during the years of independence directly improved the living conditions of residents of the Khorezm region, including social protection of the population, employment, development of the medical sector, especially in the formation of social infrastructure in the Khorezm region, rural areas, and measures of cooperation with international community restoration of ecological balance in the region.
