Annotatsiya

Naturally, the main economic sector of the population of Central Asia is agriculture, rooted in the depths of centuries. The economy of certain ethnic groups of the Karakalpaks who moved to the Ferghana Valley from the first half of the XVIII century, including in the field of agriculture, had its own traditional features. The process of transition to agriculture of the Karakalpak ethnic groups of the Ferghana Valley was directly related to the sharp reduction of "jailau" and pasture lands. At the same time, close ethno-cultural ties, intensification of interethnic integration and assimilation, as well as the transition of indigenous pastoral peoples to settlement led to the development of agriculture. This article extensively covers the ethnic and local features of farming of the Karakalpaks of Ferghana and integration processes with the settled population.
