This article examines the customs policy of the Soviet government in the customs system of the Turkestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1917-1924 and the stages of its historical implementation. In connection with the intensification of economic, political and trade ties of the RSFSR (later the USSR) with neighboring eastern countries, the issue of customs clearance and tariff issues became an important issue when moving foreign trade goods across the border. An analysis of the extreme politicization of the customs policy of the Soviet government in the country was carried out in connection with the customs system of the People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs and Finance.
