This article is devoted to the interpretation of the results of new archaeological research conducted at theSuyurlitepa monument in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region. In particular, the team of authorsdraws attention to the fact that the historical city on the site of the monument was one of the most importantand most strongly defended border cities of Ilak. In addition, various new views on the appearance of the term«Suyurlitepa», internal and external roads of the city, and irrigation system were given. Also, an attempt ismade, based on written and material sources, to prove that the ruins of this city are one of the central cities ofIlak. The archaeological finds discovered at the site will be comparatively compared with other sites in orderto shed light on the connections of the inhabitants of this site with other cities. The discovered architecturaland material objects revealed many new aspects of topography, urban structure, defensive structures, socioeconomiccondition, cultural and everyday life of the cities of the Ilaq Valley in the era of the developed MiddleAges. In the development of urban life, agriculture, mining and therefore crafts and trade, specializing in awide variety of fields, has been identified from archaeological finds.
