In this study, the preparation of bio-ligands from pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) peel and the synthesis of a Cu-based biochelate in their presence were investigated. The results of FTIR spectroscopic analysis confirmed that phenolic and carboxyl functional groups formed coordination bonds with Cu²⁺ ions. The appearance of new Cu–O bonds indicated the formation of a coordination complex. The obtained biocomplex was evaluated as an environmentally safe micronutrient fertilizer.
