Nowadays, interest in folk medicine is increasing worldwide. Products derived from plants are widely used due to their fewer complications and lower toxicity compared to surgical and synthetic drugs. Around 80-85% of the world's population relies on medicinal plants as a source of medicinal substances. Medicinal plants are used to treat many diseases, including about 800-1200 plants known to be used in the treatment of diabetes. Folk medicine has been dealing with the treatment of diabetes for thousands of years and has accumulated significant experience and valuable information in this regard. The article describes the morphological study of the effects of the food additives "As-GAM" and "Shifo" and the synthetic drug metformin on the liver of rats with diabetes.
