The World Obesity Federation Predicts a global prevalence of obesity by 2030 of more than 18% among men and 21% among women. Material and methods: data were analyzed The data of RSNPMC of Endocrinology named after Acad. Turakulov Y.H. and its Tashkent branch for the last 25 years on the prevalence of DM. over the last 25 years on the prevalence of type 2 DM and obesity, the latter being stated as follows at BMI≥30.0 kg/m2. Results of the research: it was found that in the Republic of Uzbekistan for the last 5 years, the prevalence of obesity per 100 000 population has increased 5.54 times in the Republic of Uzbekistan and more than six times in Tashkent. Five-year increase in the prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus by 2024 in the country reached 5.69 times, and more than six times in Tashkent. country reached 5.69 times, and in the capital - 2.16 times. Conclusion: the dynamics of increase of metabolic pathologies for the last 3 years in Uzbekistan and its capital requires the adoption of highly effective measures of control and prevention.
