Aim. Assessment of the improvement of knowledge acquisition and compliance with self-control skills as a way to compensate for diabetes. Results. The analysis of the results of self-monitoring of 104 children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus (type 1 diabetes) aged 6 to 17 years, the children's department of the Center for Endocrinology, who are studying at the "School of self-control of children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes." The effectiveness of the learning process significantly increased the self-control of DM1 disease in children. Conclusions. At the final stage of training, 95.8% of patients and their parents were able to learn how to adjust the dosage of insulin in accordance with individual needs, improved clinical and metabolic compensation indicators and effectively reduced the incidence of acute complications of type 1 diabetes.
