This paper presents a systematic approach to training healthcare professionals in biological safety and biological protection as one of the key areas for ensuring the biological safety of the population and the environment. The need for improving the educational process is substantiated, and priority and promising areas for increasing the effectiveness of training specialists whose activities involve handling pathogenic biological agents of pathogenicity groups III–IV are identified.
