This study investigated the clinical and morphological features of the choroid plexus and ventricular system in traumatic brain injuries. It was found that the severity of alterations in the vascular plexuses and ventricular ependyma depended on the degree and duration of trauma. Objective. To evaluate the clinical and morphological changes in the choroid plexus and ventricular system in traumatic brain injuries. Materials and Methods. The study analyzed 15 cases of acute traumatic brain injury observed at the Khorezm branch of the Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care. Clinical records, instrumental methods (CT, MRI), and pathomorphological examinations were reviewed. Results. Disruption of ependymal integrity, subependymal edema, and desquamation of the choroidal epithelium were identified; clinically, hydrocephalus, cerebral edema, and functional impairments were observed. The severity of these changes correlated with the degree and duration of the injury. Conclusion. Comprehensive assessment of the choroid plexus and ventricular system in traumatic brain injuries is of great importance for clinical diagnosis and forensic medical practice.
