Pneumonia continues to occupy a leading place in the structure of general and respiratory morbidity and mortality among children. Considering its impact on the immune system and inflammatory processes, it is advisable to study the role of vitamin D in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases in children in more detail, which opens up prospects for improving the quality of medical care in pediatric practice.
