The paper presents the results of a study conducted in 2024-2025 on the effect of budding on dwarf M9 rootstocks and semi-dwarf MM106 rootstocks of the columnar apple varieties Vasyugan, Medok, President, and Djin at different times in the first field of a nursery under the soil and climatic conditions of the Izboskan district of the Andijan region on the survival rate and winter hardiness. Regardless of the type of rootstock and the genotype of the variety, the greatest effectiveness is achieved with budding between August 21 and 31 and between September 1 and 10; the spring survival rate averaged 87.4% on the M9 rootstock and 86.5% on the MM106 rootstock. Among the varieties, the President and Vasyugan varieties demonstrated high biological compatibility with both rootstocks, while the Medok variety demonstrated the lowest regenerative properties.
