This article discusses the formation of language and thinking in children and their manifestation within a linguocognitive approach. It also presents reflections on the views of scholars in the field. Language and thinking are among the fundamental cognitive determinants in the process of speech ontogenesis. Language, in the development of a child's consciousness, functions not merely as a means of communication, but as a cognitive mechanism for forming conceptual structures, carrying out categorization processes, and encoding and transmitting information. The linguocognitive approach reveals the essence of this integrative process by analyzing the formation of children's speech ontogenesis in a dialectical relationship with thinking processes.
