Annotatsiya

The article presents a comparative structural-semantic and linguocultural analysis of English and Uzbek health-related phraseological units. The research is based on the theoretical foundations of phraseology and the works of leading scholars. The study identifies the stability, figurative meaning, and cultural specificity of health-related phraseologisms. It is shown that English units are characterized by concise and metaphorical constructions, while Uzbek equivalents demonstrate rhythmic structure and vivid imagery. Through proverbs, the health concepts and cultural values of both nations are compared. The article also discusses translation issues such as choosing appropriate equivalents and applying cultural adaptation. The findings provide important theoretical and practical insights for linguistics and translation studies.
