The use of medicinal plants in folk medicine, the discovery of their new useful properties, of course, is directly related to their chemical composition. The medicinal plant Momordica charanthia L, studied in our study, is also known for its healing properties since ancient times, this plant, which is native to India, is grown in Asian countries. As a result of the research, the use of the plant in folk medicine was studied, and the article will also provide information about the chemical composition of the plant.
