This article examines the homonymous relationships of monosyllabic words in the French language and their occurrence between two linguistic units. In particular, taking into account the expression of meanings given in dictionaries, the expression of omolexemes in different groups of words and their semantically different meanings was analyzed. At the same time, based on the results of the study using specific examples, the semantic relationships of homonymous paradigms and types of homophones in the paradigmatic layer of monosyllabic words were studied.
