The article discusses the concepts of life and death in a theoretical aspect. The motive of death in poetry is a complex philosophical concept. Consciousness and subconscious processes play an important role. The personality of the poet plays an important role here. The concepts of life and death in poetry are analyzed through specific stylistic criteria. Its subject-motive significance in poetry is revealed using methods of comparative and hermeneutic analysis.
