The article analyzes the concepts, meaning, signs of retention as a way to ensure the fulfillment of obligations based on scientific and methodological study, the opinion of civil scientists, substantiates conclusions and proposals for the application of the norms of the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
