This article examines the concept of social protection, its importance in modern society, thebasic principles of formation and development. The theoretical foundations of social policy, practicalexperience and examples, as well as a comparative analysis of social protection models in differentcountries are analyzed. Based on the results of the study, ways to improve the effectiveness of thesocial protection system are proposed, existing problems and strategies for their elimination areidentified. This study presents relevant theoretical and practical recommendations for specialists inthe field of social protection, political scientists and practitioners.
