Today in Uzbekistan, attention to the mahalla system has changed dramatically. After all, thisis the most effective and traditional mechanism for direct work with the population. This way ofcommunicating with the people, we otherwise call the mahalla work system. In this article, a surveytitled “Sociological Analysis of the Efficiency of Mahalla Activities in Uzbekistan” was conductedin Tashkent city and Tashkent, Jizzakh, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Khorezm, Fergana, and Namanganregions to study the effectiveness of local governance systems and the significance of self-governingbodies in social protection. The results obtained from the survey were analyzed.
