This scientific article provides a comprehensive analysis of the genre varieties of diplomatic discourse note, statement, negotiation speeches, and official addresses from the standpoint of their linguopragmatic, communicative, and functional characteristics. Diplomatic discourse is considered an essential component of the system of international political communication, serving as a key instrument for ensuring mutual interests, cooperation, and diplomatic balance among states. The study examines in detail the functional purposes, stylistic features, structural parameters, as well as the communicative strategies and tactics of each genre, while emphasizing their unique stylistic traits. The note represents the most formal type of diplomatic correspondence, in which a state’s political stance, proposal, or protest is expressed in a precise and restrained manner, consistent with the norms of diplomatic etiquette. The statement is addressed to the general public and serves to articulate the official position of a country on pressing issues of foreign policy. Negotiation speeches embody an interactive form of discourse aimed at achieving compromise, strengthening mutual trust, and fostering cooperative relations between the parties. Official addresses delivered at international briefings, conferences, and meetings serve as a means of demonstrating the speech culture and political rhetoric of state leaders, as well as promoting national and cultural interests. Furthermore, the study analyzes the lexico-semantic, pragmatic, and discursive features of diplomatic genres, which makes it possible to determine their role in shaping international communication, the political image of the state, and the culture of intergovernmental interaction. The findings of this research possess both theoretical and practical significance for further studies in the fields of diplomatic linguistics, political communication, and translation studies.
