This article analyzes the mechanisms of information transmission and perception during verbal and nonverbal communication. Research shows that human emotions, facial expressions, and gestures play a crucial role in the effective transmission of information. The article examines the relationship between verbal and nonverbal cues, their role in the processes of perception and assimilation of meaning, as well as in the formation of positive and negative communicative situations. The article presents the balance between gestures and oral speech, a triangular model demonstrating their influence on communication effectiveness, and examples of intentionally limited information transmission. The article analyzes scientific data on the functional significance of verbal and nonverbal means in interpersonal communication, highlighting the specific features of their interaction and practical application. It can be concluded that effective communication requires not only words but also their expression, tone of voice, eye contact, physical gestures, and cultural symbols in society. The purpose of this study is to identify ways to improve mutual understanding and the effectiveness of social interactions through an in-depth study of the complex influence of verbal and nonverbal means on the communication process. The article provides the reader not only with theoretical knowledge, but also with the opportunity to apply this knowledge in everyday life, professional communication, and intercultural communication.
