This article explores the incorporation of combinatorial linguistics into the methodology of teaching lexical collocations through the use of contemporary digital linguistic tools. A review of theoretical perspectives and practical frameworks has shown that combinatorial linguistics, which focuses on the regularities of word co-occurrence and stable syntagmatic relations, offers valuable insights into how collocations function in actual language use. It was determined that developing lexical-collocational competence requires more than knowing individual lexical items; students must acquire the ability to select appropriate word combinations in line with context, discourse type, and communicative intention. The application of corpus-based platforms such as COCA, BNC, Sketch Engine, and SkELL ensures access to extensive authentic language data. Examining concordance lines enables learners to observe contextual variation, distinguish frequent from less common patterns, and recognize stylistic nuances. The results indicate that engagement with digital linguistic resources enhances students’ analytical independent abilities and minimizes interference from their native language.
