This article analyzes the role of moral values in the development of a harmonious personality and in enriching the spiritual life of society. It discusses the criteria of spiritual maturity of an individual, the historical formation of moral values, and their significance in modern society. Special attention is paid to the role of the family, the education system, and the mass media in fostering moral and ethical qualities among the younger generation.
