At present, due to the growing relevance of global climate change, environmental protection, and sustainable development concepts, ecological vocabulary in media discourse is rapidly expanding and being enriched with new terms and expressions. The article provides a scientifically grounded and comprehensive analysis of the emergence of such ecological neologisms in modern media texts and the linguistic problems encountered during their translation. The linguo-cultural features of the formation and transformation of these neologisms, as well as the methodology of their adequate translation into the Uzbek language, have been studied using comparative-typological and descriptive methods. The findings show that maintaining equivalence, ensuring pragmatic adaptation, and accurately performing cognitive-semantic transformations are crucial in the translation of ecological neologisms. Furthermore, the study substantiates the application of transcription, transliteration, calquing, and explanatory translation methods, emphasizing the need to consider both linguistic and cultural factors in the translation process.
