This article analyzes the functional and semantic features of deictic units found in German religious texts from a linguo-pragmatic perspective. In religious discourse, deixis serves not only as a grammatical category but also as a pragmatic device expressing spiritual and communicative connection between the divine and the human. The study explores personal, spatial, and temporal deixis, their equivalents in the Uzbek language, and the semantic shifts occurring during the translation process. The findings demonstrate that deictic units play a significant role in enhancing the emotional and spiritual impact of religious texts. The results are practically valuable for translation studies, linguo-pragmatics, and discourse analysis.
