The article examines the prospects of modeling conceptual space via cognitive metaphor and frame semantics within a linguoculturological perspective. Conceptual mapping, a core process in cognitive linguistics, is explained through systematic correspondences between source and target domains in metaphor theory. Frame semantics is viewed as the cognitive activation of stereotypical roles and scenarios that structure knowledge. The linguoculturological approach emphasizes how metaphors and frames function as elements of collective memory, national worldview, and cultural identity. The study discusses conceptual metaphor, blending, prototypical models, associative fields, socio-semiotic indices, and cultural codes. As a result, metaphor is treated not only as a semantic mechanism but also as a cognitive “bridge” shaping conceptual space.
