This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the process of metaphorization in expressions related to hydronyms. The names of water objects appear not only as geographical terms but also as important symbolic means in expressing human inner experiences, thinking, and various social phenomena. The study reveals the relationship between the direct lexical meaning of hydronyms and their metaphorical interpretation in different contexts. Furthermore, the stylistic value of such expressions in written and oral discourse, their role in expanding meanings, and their function in creating imagery are highlighted. The article also examines the diverse cultural interpretations of water symbolism, its semantic connotations, and emotional implications. The findings demonstrate the linguistic richness of hydronyms and their artistic-aesthetic functions, offering a broader understanding of their role in reflecting human psychology, social relations, and cultural values. The analysis shows the differences between the literal and metaphorical meanings of hydronyms in various contexts. It also emphasizes how metaphors derived from hydronyms express human emotions, cultural aspects, and social relations, while clarifying the role of such expressions in both written and spoken language. This research thus provides a deeper insight into the lexical and metaphorical significance of expressions containing hydronyms.
