This article analyzes the methods used to study phraseological units with a floristic component and examines the views of linguists on this issue. It highlights the challenges associated with selecting a specific method for studying fixed word combinations and emphasizes that the analysis of such semantically complex units involves overlapping areas of various linguistic disciplines. Particular attention is given to approaches characteristic of core linguistics. The article holds practical value for interdisciplinary research in the fields of translation, literary studies, and linguoculturology.
