The article presents a comparative analysis of neural connections in bilinguals who are fluent in Russian and Arabic. The neurophysiological mechanisms of bilingualism, the features of the neural organization of language processing, the influence of phonological and grammatical differences between Russian and Arabic on brain activity, as well as the cognitive advantages of bilingualism are considered. Neuroimaging data, cognitive test results, and modern theories of neuroplasticity are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to interhemispheric asymmetry, executive functions, and the role of the age of second language acquisition.
