Annotatsiya

This paper explores the representation of heroism and cultural identity in the Old English epic Beowulf  in comparison with other classical epic narratives, including The Iliad by Homer and The Epic of Gilgamesh. By analyzing the heroic code, societal values, and mythological structures, this study seeks to understand how these texts reflect the moral and cultural frameworks of their respective societies. The research employs a comparative literary analysis to examine the commonalities and divergences in the portrayal of heroism and communal ideals, revealing how epic narratives function as vessels for preserving and transmitting cultural identity across generations.
