This article explores the challenges of special (correctional) education for individuals with intellectual disabilities. It outlines the main areas of corrective and health-improving work within the adaptive physical education process. It examines the organization and delivery of classes for high school students with intellectual disabilities using a combination of adaptive physical education and adaptive sports.
