Annotatsiya

This study examined the factors that promote and inhibit physical activity among children and adolescents. Data were collected through questionnaires and open-ended questions, and their social, psychological, and organizational aspects were analyzed. The results showed that engaging in activities with friends and parental support were the most important motivating factors for physical activity. It was also found that organizing interesting activities and providing accessible sports facilities increase motivation to be active. At the same time, lack of time, fatigue, laziness, and excessive use of digital devices were identified as the main inhibiting factors. Additionally, insufficient sports environment at home and school, as well as parental restrictions, negatively affected activity levels. The thematic analysis allowed assessment of the need for a comprehensive approach to enhancing physical activity and revealed the interrelation between motivating and inhibiting factors. Based on these findings, the importance of creating a stable and supportive environment at the school, family, and community levels was considered.
