In the language system, the speech sentence of a wish is formed on the basis of linguistic and extralinguistic factors, such as a specific communicative purpose, compositional structure of the text, stylistic diversity, as well as the addresser, addressee, time, space, time, verbal, non-verbal means, language attributes. The presence of these factors directly determines the linguistic position of the wish as a separate speech genre. The study of speech structures associated with the wishes of people in the Uzbek language, first of all, reveals the national characteristics of the speech behavior of the Uzbek people. After all, the religious wishes existing in the Uzbek language express the prayerfulness of the Uzbek people, based on the expression of positive desires and at the same time a tendency to negative desires, and through them its national character and characteristics are expressed. From this point of view, the issue of studying the linguistic aspects of the speech genre of tilak, in which the national characteristics of the Uzbek language are manifested, shows the relevance of the study.The article examines the specific speech purpose, composition and stylistic features of the speech genre “wish”; verbal, non-verbal means and language signs, features of functional changes depending on the speech situation are discussed.
