This article is devoted to one of the current issues in linguistics – the problem of classifying word combinations based on their volume and structure using the material of the Russian and Uzbek languages. Word combinations play a key role in understanding a language and its correct usage. They reflect the specificity and uniqueness of the linguistic system and serve as an important tool for text analysis and interpretation. The study of word combinations in a comparative aspect is of particular significance. Comparing word combinations in different languages allows researchers to identify common features and distinctions, which, in turn, helps to better understand the characteristics of each specific language.
