In linguistics, a lexical unit is a combination of a word or phrase with a specific meaning. It encompasses not only individual words but also complex expressions that function as a single semantic unit. Each lexical unit is associated with a unique meaning of a lexeme. A lexeme is an abstract unit of lexical meaning that forms the basis of a group of words related to each other through inflection. Understanding lexical units is of great importance in fields such as lexicology and lexicography, as they constitute a fundamental part of a language’s vocabulary. This article examines the stylistic features of business-related vocabulary in English and Uzbek.
