This article examines the most frequently used phraseological units and proverbs with proper nouns in linguistics. It analyzes how they are expressed in English and Uzbek, highlighting similarities and differences with concrete examples. The study explores the semantic changes that occur when proper nouns are incorporated into phraseological units and their meaningful characteristics. Additionally, it examines the use of proper nouns in proverbs and their role in cultural and historical contexts. The article highlights the richness of English phraseology and the functional significance of proper nouns through examples. The research findings are of great importance for both linguistic theory and practice.
