The article examines the relationship between gender and communication, focusing on their influence on each other. The study includes both verbal and non-verbal aspects of communication, which play a key role in the construction of gender. On the material of Uzbek culture, where traditions are intertwined with modern trends, the features of gender communication are highlighted, including the role of language as the main tool for expressing gender identity and social roles. Differences in the styles of communication between men and women due to socio-cultural and linguistic factors are analysed. Special attention is paid to the manifestations of gender asymmetry in language, such as lexical preferences, forms of address and specifics of speech strategies. Examples from the Uzbek language are given, demonstrating the link between cultural traditions and linguistic behaviour. The changes occurring under the influence of globalisation, media and intercultural contacts are also highlighted. The author emphasises the importance of being aware of gender differences in communication in order to increase the effectiveness of intercultural interaction. This is especially relevant in the context of Uzbekistan, where traditional patriarchal patterns coexist with the growing trend of gender equality. The work is based on an interdisciplinary approach, combining the achievements of sociolinguistics, gender studies and intercultural communication.
