This article provides information about the urbanization processes of the Kashkadarya oasis in the south of Uzbekistan, dating back to the late 19th – early 20th centuries. The author conducted a scientific and comparative analysis of urbanization processes in the Kashkadarya oasis in the cities of Karshi, Shahrisabz, Kitab, Yakkabog, Guzar on the basis of primary sources from the late 19th – early 20th centuries, as well as modern literature created using the same sources. Also, during the period studied in the article, population training in the cities of the Kashkadarya Oasis, urban guzzlers, markets, fortresses, protective structures were summarized and put into scientific circulation.
