This article examines theoretical issues of teaching business English as a means of intercultural communication. This study is determined by society’s need for specialists capable of working in an international environment, and the need to develop pedagogical aspects of developing intercultural communication skills among students in foreign (English) language classes. The study also presents a system of work for teaching business English in order to increase the cognitive abilities of students, including a system of work developed specifically for students, helping to optimize the educational process in higher educational institutions. Traditionally, the language of business communication sounds like one of the sections of the language for special purposes. In addition, the language of business communication is briefly intertwined with colloquial and everyday vocabulary, also used in the process of work, which involves a wide range of situations: from informal every day to highly professional. Therefore, there are many approaches to the scientific study and methodological support of the language of business communication. The language of business communication is characterized by the specific discourse features of the text. In business communication there is a wide range of texts from informal communication to complex operations with graphs and figures, from simple business negotiations to labor-intensive technical descriptions, from template contracts to complex economic and financial reports and reports.
